Network / Field Buses


Embedded systems often need to communicate with the outside world. The availability of standard Ethernet / Internet inside buildings quickly creates the desire that the embedded system can be controlled andoperated using that same network.

There is therefore much to gain advantage.

We have already designed a variety of solutions for customers that are based on Internet communication. These applications perform well, with a very good throughput.

Special forms of Ethernet communication may be found in industrial communication networks.


Allows all standard TCP protocols to be used for both management and for specific data exchange.


Modbus is available in RS485 RTU mode and as standard Ethernet network as Modbus-TCP. Both protocols read and write parameters and process values. This protocol is particularly suitable for low / medium-speed data exchange. Even with Modbus-TCP technology we have technology available for looping the Ethernet cable from one device to another.

Ethernet Powerlink

This protocol offers real-time exchange of parameters and process values. Remote devices may be monitored and controlled with a precision of 1ms.

CANbus and CAN Open

The automotive grade CAN protocol provides real-time access to process parameters and settings. Multiple devices on the bus can transmit their data to others or retrieve information.

Custom made PLC

For many applications, the use of a PLC is a good and cost effective solution. When special sensors are required, for which standard electronics is expensive, cost reduction may be feasible using a custom design and integrated solution. When production volume rises, standard PLC solutions will prove significantly more costly.

True 1Gb Ethernet module

The hardware based Gigabit data module is designed for applications that require very high speed data throughput over Ethernet.

Wireless modem and sensors / 6LoWPAN

A family of wireless sensors based on the (standard) Ethernet IPV6 protocol, allowing 2 directions of communication. The modem version, works with a standard AT-command set. This makes application very easy. A software platform is available for the processing of the sensor data. This is all part of the "Internet of Things" platform.
